Staffing Firm To Pay $2M In Back Wages, DOL Says

Law360, New York (May 7, 2013, 3:37 PM EDT) -- Hutco Inc., a Louisiana-based industrial services staffing firm, has agreed to pay nearly $2 million in back wages and owed overtime to more than 2,000 employees it assigned to client work sites throughout Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, the U.S. Department of Labor announced Monday.

Hutco, which provides skilled and unskilled laborers to construction, distribution and manufacturing companies, agreed to pay $1.92 million to 2,267 employees who were allegedly denied overtime, including welders, fitters, tackers, electricians, blasters, painters, forklift operators and warehouse workers,  the DOL said....
