Baker & McKenzie Joins Foreign Firm Boom In S. Korea

Law360, New York (May 7, 2013, 5:31 PM EDT) -- Baker & McKenzie LLP on Tuesday said it had secured approval from South Korea's Ministry of Justice to open an office in Seoul, adding the firm to a growing list of international firms eager to grab a piece of Korea's legal market. 

Baker & McKenzie plans to open the office May 21 as its 15th location in Asia and 73rd office worldwide. Nam Hung Paik, a senior transactional attorney who joined the firm in 1988, will represent it. Three attorneys will staff the Seoul office initially,...
