Texas Court Revives Abraham Watkins Patent Malpractice Suit

Law360, Houston (May 9, 2013, 7:08 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday partially revived a malpractice suit against Abraham Watkins Nichols Sorrels Agosto & Friend LLP, ruling that it was unclear whether a former client’s claim that the firm mishandled patent litigation had been pursued too late.

The Fourteenth District Court of Appeals found that Abraham Watkins had only established that one of three claims in Richard Alan Haase's suit that alleges the firm cost him a win in litigation over a water purification patent was barred a statute of limitations....
