Ex-Salomon Head Sues Citigroup Over Secretary's $3M Theft

Law360, New York (May 10, 2013, 7:12 PM EDT) -- The former managing partner of Salomon Brothers launched a suit in New York state court Thursday alleging Citigroup Inc. is liable for over $3 million that was stolen from him by his now-convicted former secretary, who was a Citigroup employee.

William R. Salomon, 99, said that after he retired in 1981, he entered an agreement to consult for Salomon Brothers until his death. Pursuant to that arrangement, Salomon Brothers agreed to provide him with an office and the full-time services of two secretaries, among other things....
