Thermo Fisher Hid Mexico Plant's Cartel Woes, OpenGate Says

Law360, New York (May 13, 2013, 4:38 PM EDT) -- OpenGate Capital LLC sued lab equipment maker Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in California federal court Friday, claiming Thermo Fisher sold a lab workstations unit to the private equity firm last year without disclosing that its Mexico plant was under near-constant siege from drug cartels.
