'Kids For Cash' Plaintiffs Win Class Cert.

Law360, Los Angeles (May 14, 2013, 6:11 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday granted certification to the classes and subclasses of juveniles who were allegedly harmed or sent to private prisons in Pennsylvania’s notorious “kids for cash” judge kickback scheme.

The class certification comes three weeks after plaintiffs seeking compensation over the scheme argued that they have at least 700 more members than alleged by the defense.
