GSA Will Give Contractors Unpaid Minimums, House Says

Law360, New York (May 16, 2013, 11:47 AM EDT) -- The U.S. General Services Administration will repay more than a thousand small businesses about $3 million it owes them in guaranteed minimums it never paid, a U.S. House of Representatives committee said Thursday.

The GSA, which manages buildings, vehicles and other property for the federal government, discovered after it re-examined its data that it didn't give about 1,200 eligible small businesses a guaranteed $2,500 minimum on multiple-award schedule contracts between 2008 and 2012, according to an investigation by the House Small Business committee.
