Monsanto's Modified Alfalfa Isn't 'Plant Pest,' 9th Circ. Says

Law360, New York (May 17, 2013, 6:15 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Friday cleared the way for widespread cultivation of Monsanto Corp.'s genetically modified alfalfa, agreeing with a trial judge that federal regulation of the plant cannot continue because it is not a “plant pest” that will damage or injure other plants.
