MetroPCS Ditches Challenge To FCC Net Neutrality Regs

Law360, New York (May 17, 2013, 7:26 PM EDT) -- MetroPCS Communications Inc., which recently merged with T-Mobile USA Inc., has dropped its challenge in the D.C. Circuit to the Federal Communications Commission's net neutrality rules preventing Internet service providers from blocking or discriminating against legitimate websites, T-Mobile confirmed Friday.

MetroPCS will end its challenge that it launched in the appeals court in 2011, according to both T-Mobile and FCC spokesman Neil Grace.

Now only Verizon Communications Inc. remains in the appeals court case against the FCC's rules, which went into effect in in November 2011, Grace said.
