US, EU Want To Settle Chinese Solar Panel Fight

Law360, New York (May 21, 2013, 1:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. and the European Union will attempt to negotiate settlements with China that could resolve their long-running gripes over cheap imports of Chinese solar panels, according to media reports on Monday.

The agreements would sharply raise the prices of Chinese panels in exchange for the reduction or elimination of anti-dumping and countervailing duties in both the U.S. and EU, The New York Times reported.
