Bloomberg Fires Back At CFTC In Swap Rule Case

Law360, New York (May 22, 2013, 4:40 PM EDT) -- Bloomberg LP again urged a Washington federal judge on Tuesday to halt the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's margin requirements for swap and futures derivatives, saying that the commission's opposition to a preliminary injunction sidestepped claims raised in Bloomberg's case.

The agency's opposition to Bloomberg's complaint over margin requirements was distracted and contradictory, the company said. In its response, the agency failed to rebuff accusations that it didn't adequately assess the rule's economic implications, according to Bloomberg.
