FDNY Union Can't Contest Driver Selection Change, Court Says

Law360, New York (May 23, 2013, 3:34 PM EDT) -- New York City's decision to de-emphasize seniority when choosing who could drive fire trucks isn't subject to collective bargaining, a New York state appeals court panel ruled Thursday, finding that the change was a management decision that the firefighters' union couldn't challenge.
