Pittsburgh Zoo Sued By Parents Of Child Killed By Wild Dogs

Law360, Philadelphia (May 24, 2013, 5:38 PM EDT) -- The family of a 2-year-old boy killed by wild dogs after he fell into a pen at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium filed suit in Pennsylvania state court on Thursday seeking to hold the zoo liable for the child’s death.

In a complaint filed in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, Jason and Elizabeth Derkosh argued that the zoo was aware that railings and other safety measures were insufficient to prevent visitors from falling into a pen of African wild dogs.
