SEC Ordered To Provide Docs To Ex-SAC Trader

Law360, New York (May 24, 2013, 6:12 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Friday said the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission must begin turning over documents to former SAC Capital Advisors LP portfolio manager Mathew Martoma, who faces an insider trading case from the commission alongside a criminal indictment.

U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero ordered the SEC to begin handing over evidence it has against Martoma. The judge, though, denied a request from his defense to start depositions, despite arguments from Martoma’s lawyer that the process should begin.
