Enviros Score Partial Win In Alaska Oil Exploration Suit

Law360, Washington (May 29, 2013, 1:33 PM EDT) -- An Alaska federal judge granted a partial win Tuesday to an Alaskan tribe and two environmental groups challenging the National Marine Fisheries Service's approval of high-intensity seismic oil and gas exploration at Cook Inlet, saying the agency failed to properly determine the project's impact on an endangered whale species.
