Crain Caton Says Insurers Owe Defense Costs In Trust Dispute

Law360, Houston (May 29, 2013, 8:57 PM EDT) -- Crain Caton & James PC on Tuesday launched a suit in Texas court against Federal Insurance Co. and Old Republic Insurance Co., arguing the insurers wrongfully denied litigation defense coverage for a trust management dispute against the firm.

The firm claims that the insurance companies should have defended it against a suit accusing it of conspiring to divert income from a wealthy businessman’s family trust and hiding the malpractice of the trust’s former manager.
