American Student Loan Sued Under FSLA

Law360, New York (January 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Labor filed a civil suit Thursday accusing American Student Loan Corp. of failing to pay its employees adequate overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona against the student-loan marketer and company executives Brian Skowronski and Alan Chick.
