Judge Bans Andrx, Ranbaxy Generic Versions Of Biaxin

Law360 (November 11, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has granted Abbott Laboratories Inc.’s request for a preliminary injunction against Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. and Andrx Corp. over its antibiotic Biaxin XL.

The latest development in the drawn-out litigation will prevent the companies, for now, from marketing their generic versions of the popular drug in the United States.
