Ex-SAC Manager Gets Date For Insider Trading Trial

Law360, New York (June 5, 2013, 5:46 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday set a November trial date in the criminal case against former SAC Capital Advisors LP portfolio manager Mathew Martoma, who allegedly used inside information to make $276 million trading in two pharmaceutical companies.

U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe, who saw lawyers for both sides at a conference in Manhattan federal court, scheduled Martoma’s trial to start Nov. 4. Judge Gardephe is slated to preside over the trial.
