NJ Assembly Panel Clears Offshore Wind Tax Credit Bill

Law360, New York (June 6, 2013, 9:35 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey General Assembly committee on Thursday released a bill that would avail state tax credits to a wider area of the state for the development of offshore wind energy projects, which if signed into law, would help facilitate a planned offshore wind farm currently outside the established zone.

The Assembly’s Telecommunications and Utilities Committee released A1569, which would amend the state’s Offshore Wind Economic Development Act such that its definition of a “wind energy zone” would include a portfield site near the Port Authorities...
