Unprofessional Attys Face New Complaint Process In Fla.

Law360, Miami (June 6, 2013, 8:12 PM EDT) -- Florida's Supreme Court on Thursday formalized the process of handling complaints regarding an attorney's lack of professionalism for offenses that might not rise to violations of the state's rules for attorney conduct.

The high court adopted the recommendation of a Commission on Professionalism to have the chief judges in each circuit create local professionalism panels that will receive, screen and act upon any complaints of unprofessional conduct and send them along to the Florida Bar Association if necessary.
