Eisai Destroyed Evidence In Antitrust Case, Sanofi Says

Law360, New York (June 7, 2013, 8:46 PM EDT) -- Eisai Inc. destroyed evidence and should face sanctions in its case alleging that Sanofi-Aventis US LLC used supply contracts for the anti-coagulant Lovenox to harm competition, Sanofi told a New Jersey federal court in a filing made public Thursday.

In a memorandum supporting a motion for sanctions, Sanofi said Eisai destroyed documents relevant to allegations that Sanofi's sales representatives had distributed misleading information as part of an effort to keep hospitals from buying Fragmin, an injectable anti-coagulant made by Eisai.
