Glimcher To Pay $112M For Blackstone's Share Of Tampa Mall

Law360, Miami (June 7, 2013, 2:54 PM EDT) -- Glimcher Realty Trust announced Thursday that it will buy out the interest of Blackstone Real Estate Partners VI in the WestShore Plaza shopping mall in Tampa, Fla., for $111.8 million and also sell its interest in the Lloyd Center mall in Portland, Ore.

The transactions will close a joint venture the Ohio-based REIT formed with Blackstone in a 2009 deal valued at $320 million that gave Blackstone, the largest real estate private equity firm in the world, a 60 percent interest in the two regional malls....
