Ind. High Court Takes Up State Gas Contract Dispute

Law360, New York (June 7, 2013, 5:27 PM EDT) -- Indiana’s highest court has agreed to hear a dispute over a ruling invalidating the state's contract with Indiana Gasification LLC to purchase natural gas from a proposed $2.8 billion coal gasification plant, it announced Thursday.

According to a court filing, the Indiana Supreme Court has agreed to take up the case, which stems from a decision by the Indiana Regulatory Commission approving a set-price 30-year substitute natural gas purchase contract between the state’s finance authority and IG.
