Extra Layer Of Rules On Fracking On Federal, Tribal Lands

Law360, New York (June 14, 2013, 1:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Bureau of Land Management seeks comment on revised proposed rule regarding hydraulic fracturing operations on federal and tribal lands. The revised proposed rule retains the general regulatory framework and many elements of the proposed rule initially issued in May 2012 but includes several important changes reflecting the BLM's consideration of issues raised by the public.
