Disney Hit With ITC Copyright Suit Over 'Mr. Young' Show

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 3:29 PM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co. was sued at the U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday by a man who claims that the Disney Channel show "Mr. Young," which is produced in Canada, infringes a copyrighted script he pitched to a talent agent.

Emir Tiar and his company E.T. Radcliffe LLC claim that because the allegedly infringing show is produced in Vancouver and broadcast in the U.S. on the Disney Channel, Disney has violated international trade law, giving the ITC jurisdiction.
