Senators Want Nick To Leave Junk Foods Ads To Grown-Ups

Law360, New York (June 10, 2013, 7:20 PM EDT) -- Four Democratic U.S. senators asked Viacom Inc. on Monday to stop airing advertisements for unhealthy food and beverages on its Nickelodeon network, urging it to follow the example set by The Walt Disney Co. last year.

In a letter to the presidents of Viacom and Nickelodeon, the lawmakers requested that the children's network establish a policy for the marketing of food on its television channels, websites and mobile platforms.
