Senate Panel Approves Froman's Nomination As USTR

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 8:24 PM EDT) -- The Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday unanimously approved the nomination of White House adviser Mike Froman, a former senior fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations and an ex-managing partner of Citigroup Inc., for U.S. trade representative.

With the committee casting a voice vote signing off on President Barack Obama's pick to fill the vacancy left by former USTR Ron Kirk, who stepped down in March, Froman's nomination will go before the U.S. Senate for review.
