Drug Store Giants Challenged Over Generic Packaging

Law360 (November 14, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A company with just 16 employees has decided to take on two of the largest drug store chains in the country, alleging that the companies infringed its patent for the packaging of hot/cold therapy packs.

Medi-Temp Inc, a tiny Arizona based therapeutic healthcare company, has sued CVS/Pharmacy and Rite Aid Inc., claiming that the two companies requested samples of Medi-Temp products and then copied the packaging, infringing on a Medi-Temp patent for the design.
