States Can Regulate Cell Phone Bills: High Court

Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court denied on Tuesday an appeal of a lower court's ruling that allowed states to regulate the format of wireless communication bills.

Sprint Nextel Corp. and T-Mobile USA Inc. brought the case to the Supreme Court against the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates, which had argued that states should be able to require a transparent presentation of expense line items in bills for wireless carriers.
