DOE Flags Unverified Payments To Former GOP Rep.

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 8:49 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Energy paid more than $450,000 toward subcontract payments to a former Republican congresswoman for consulting work that was never verified by the agency, according to a Friday report from the DOE's inspector general.

Heather Wilson, a military veteran who represented New Mexico from 1998 to 2009, and her consulting company, Heather Wilson and Co.
