Pa. House OKs Natural Gas Lease Deduction Disclosure Bill

Law360, Philadelphia (June 11, 2013, 5:00 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Tuesday threw unanimous support behind a bill aimed at providing detailed and uniform information about deductions taken out of royalty checks for property owners who lease out their land for natural gas drilling.

After voting 200-0 to approve House Bill 1414 requiring natural gas drillers leasing land from Pennsylvania property owners to list all deductions taken from royalty checks, legislators praised the measure as one that would increase transparency for landowners.
