ITC Renews Steel Rebar Duties For 5 More Years

Law360, New York (June 13, 2013, 4:08 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission renewed anti-dumping duties Thursday on imports of steel concrete rebar from China and six other countries, voting that their removal would cause harm to American steelmakers.

Following a regularly scheduled sunset review, the trade body said it would re-up the duties, which also cover rebar imports from Ukraine, Latvia, Belarus, Moldova, Poland and Indonesia. The U.S. Department of Commerce, which carries out its own parallel sunset reviews of duties, already voted to keep the measures in place, meaning the ITC’s decision...
