FCC Has No Right To Void Contracts: Cable Industry

Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The principal trade association for the U.S. cable industry is seeking to block part of a new FCC rule that not only prohibits new exclusive contracts between apartment buildings and cable companies but also repeals current contracts.

The National Cable and Telecommunications Association filed an emergency motion with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit late Tuesday, seeking a stay of part of the rule, pending judicial review.
