Cape Wind Gets $200M Investment From Danish Pension Fund

Law360, New York (June 19, 2013, 4:43 PM EDT) -- The controversial Cape Wind offshore wind farm will receive a $200 million investment from Danish pension fund PensionDanmark in a push to close the deal and start construction on the Nantucket Sound-based project this year, PensionDanmark said Tuesday.

The project, which launched 12 years ago, has sparked a flurry of litigation from environmental groups who fear the $2.5 billion wind farm — which is the first U.S. offshore wind farm — could harm wildlife.
