3M Settles Radio Transponder Technology Patent Suits

Law360, New York (June 20, 2013, 6:30 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday it had dropped an investigation of radio frequency transponder tag technology after Neology Inc. settled claims with 3M Co. and Federal Signal Corp.

The settlement, most of which was filed confidentially, ends the litigation between Neology, Federal Signal and 3M not only in the ITC as well as a patent infringement case in Delaware federal court. The settlement agreement include a section for a "3M payment," but it was redacted.
