FTC Will Need Help Tackling 'Patent Trolls' After Probe

Law360, New York (June 20, 2013, 8:23 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission's probe of so-called patent trolls, announced Thursday, will shed needed light on how the secretive companies operate, but solving problems in the patent system that have let them proliferate may be outside the FTC's authority and will likely require action by other parts of government, attorneys say.
