Abortion Filibuster Sinks Highway Bill In Texas Senate

Law360, Dallas (June 25, 2013, 2:43 PM EDT) -- The Texas legislature adjourned a special session Tuesday without a Senate vote on a bill that would dedicate $1 billion in oil and gas tax revenue to pay for transportation infrastructure projects each year, following a nearly 13-hour filibuster on an abortion restriction bill.
