Pa. Beer Stein Class Action Doesn't Hold Water, Judge Says

Law360, Philadelphia (June 24, 2013, 5:31 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Wednesday declined to certify a class that claimed that the promoter of a Bethlehem, Pa., music festival mislabeled beer steins that were manufactured in China as made in Germany, concluding the purchasers were not all duped in the same way.

U.S. District Judge James Knoll Gardner rejected arguments by a former employee of ArtsQuest, the promoter of the annual Musikfest event, and another purchaser of the steins and mugs that ArtsQuest systematically misled purchasers over the true origin of the mugs....
