Senate Confirms Pritzker As Head Of Commerce Department

Law360, Los Angeles (June 25, 2013, 7:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate overwhelmingly confirmed President Barack Obama’s nominee for head of the U.S. Department of Commerce on Tuesday, voting 97-1 to affirm billionaire businesswoman Penny Pritzker as secretary of commerce.

The vote came nearly two months after Obama nominated Pritzker to take over as secretary of commerce.
