Calif. Appeals Court Backs Solargen's Power Plant Project

Law360, New York (June 26, 2013, 12:57 PM EDT) -- A California state appeals court on Tuesday backed a decision that greenlighted steps in Solargen Energy Inc.’s solar power development project, rejecting arguments that an environmental impact report was insufficient and that public interest in the project didn’t outweigh conservational concerns.

At issue was Solargen’s proposed solar power plant in the Panoche Valley, 4,885 acres of land in San Benito County historically used for cattle grazing, according to Tuesday’s order.
