Anadarko Seeks To Stall ATP's Oil Field Abandonment

Law360, Houston (June 26, 2013, 10:06 PM EDT) -- An Anadarko Petroleum Corp. subsidiary asked a Texas bankruptcy judge Tuesday to suspend an order letting troubled ATP Oil & Gas Corp. abandon an offshore drilling operation that allegedly sticks Anadarko with $153 million in environmental remediation costs, while the federal government blasted the request as a disservice to the public interest.
