$1.6M Bail For Operator Charged In Philly Building Collapse

Law360, Philadelphia (June 26, 2013, 6:16 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania judge has set bail at $1.6 million for the excavator operator accused of causing a four-story building collapse in Philadelphia earlier this month, according to reports Wednesday.

Sean Benschop — who was charged with six counts of involuntary manslaughter, 13 counts of recklessly endangering another person, and one count of causing a catastrophe and risking a catastrophe after the June 5 collapse — was due in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.
