Texas Panel Says Nursing Facility Can't Arbitrate Abuse Suit

Law360, New York (June 26, 2013, 9:43 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court ruled Wednesday that a San Antonio nursing facility being sued for allegedly neglecting and abusing patients and residents couldn’t enforce its arbitration agreements because the McCarran-Ferguson Act exempts it from most federal laws, including the Federal Arbitration Act.
