Foley & Lardner Beats Conflict Suit Over Glycine Duties Case

Law360, Los Angeles (June 26, 2013, 8:55 PM EDT) -- A Washington, D.C., federal judge on Monday threw out GEO Specialty Chemicals Inc.'s allegations that Foley & Lardner LLP represented Chinese glycine companies in a dumping duties investigation that conflicted with its prior work for GEO, finding GEO hadn't shown the alleged conflict caused it any injury.

The decision comes four months after U.S. District Judge Richard J. Leon denied the U.S. glycine producer’s request for a preliminary injunction that would have prevented Foley and attorney Gregory Husisian from representing Hebei Donghua Jiheng Fine Chemical Co....
