Primary Global Insider Trading Cooperators Dodge Prison

Law360, New York (July 1, 2013, 7:13 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Monday gave a sentence of probation to two technology company employees who passed tips to hedge funds through expert networking firm Primary Global Research LLC then cooperated with a government investigation into insider trading.

U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff sentenced Mark Longoria, a former employee of Advanced Micro Devices, and Walter Shimoon, who worked at a subsidiary of Flexpoint International Ltd., to two years supervised release.
