Miami Shopping Center Owner Sues To Block Rival Project

Law360, Miami (July 2, 2013, 7:05 PM EDT) -- The owner of a Miami-area shopping center filed suit in Florida state court Thursday against the Town of Cutler Bay and the developer of the planned The Shoppes of Cutler Bay, saying the town's approval violated its state-required comprehensive master plan.

The Realty Associates Fund IX LP, which owns the Old Cutler Towne Center, said in its complaint that five permits issued by the town to co-defendant GCF Investments Inc. to construct its project violate the local government's Growth Management Plan that it filed in 2008...
