Lawmaker Rips Google Response To Glass Privacy Concerns

Law360, New York (July 2, 2013, 9:58 PM EDT) -- Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, on Monday slammed Google Inc. for its “disappointing” response to a group of lawmakers' questions about its upcoming Google Glass product, saying the company failed to adequately address privacy concerns raised by the technology's ability to covertly collect data.

After reviewing Google's reply to a letter that Barton and seven of his colleagues on the Bipartisan Congressional Privacy Caucus sent to the company in May, the lawmaker expressed disappointment in the response, which he said left questions about the new technology's privacy...
