Baxano To Pay $6M To Settle FCA, Kickback Allegations

Law360, New York (July 3, 2013, 2:57 PM EDT) -- Medical device maker Baxano Surgical Inc. has agreed to pay $6 million to settle allegations sparked by a whistleblower suit that it caused health care providers to submit false claims to Medicare and paid kickbacks to doctors, prosecutors said Wednesday.
