Law360, New York (July 17, 2013, 1:16 PM EDT) -- The equator principles (EP) is an agreement among 79 global financial institutions (known as EP financial institutions or EPFI) to apply environmental and social standards to certain investment decisions. The third iteration of the EP (EP III) was released on May 14, 2013, and took effect (with certain transition allowances) on June 4, 2013.
